Edgerton, MO– The 2020 Census is quickly approaching and the City of Edgerton is hoping to get a more accurate look at it’s residents.
City of Edgerton Alderman, Rick Roan plans to mail the following letter out with City water bills after the first of the year.
“In the middle of March 2020, every household should receive a Census Survey. If you have not received one by the middle of April, Please contact Amy at City Hall, or Rick Roan at (785) 230-4605 and we will make sure you get one.
Please take the time to fill out the survey instead of the initial thought of throwing it away. You can fill out the survey three ways: Online, by phone or by mail.
The 2010 Census listed Edgerton’s average income at $73,000.00! I think we all know that is not a true income. Filling the survey out is important, as they can help the town, county, etc in getting grants and other money available.
Once you receive the survey, and if you have questions, please feel free to contact Rick Roan, as he is the chair person of the Edgerton 2020 Census Committee. Your other committee members are Mayor Shawn Harmer and Alderman Myrna Weese. We plan on opening City hall on a Saturday (date and time TBA later) to answer any questions that may arise or assistance on filling the survey out. Again, please fill out your survey honestly, and let Rick know if you did not receive one by the middle of April 2020.”
